Talk Therapy
What is Therapy?
Therapy, also called counseling or talk therapy, is a collaborative process where an individual works with a formally trained and licensed mental health professional to explore their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors in order to find healing and positive change. Therapy provides a safe space for people to gain insights, develop coping strategies, and feel both seen and understood. Our therapists are trained to utilize evidence-based interventions that are proven to improve symptoms and mental wellness, while also taking pride in their empathetic and authentic approach to client care.
Why is Therapy Important?
Therapy offers a non-judgmental space for self-exploration and growth. It helps people reach a deeper understanding of themselves, process life experiences and their impacts, and improve overall mental and emotional well-being. Through therapy, individuals can build resilience, enhance relationships, and find more fulfillment in life.
What Can I Expect from the Therapeutic Process?
In therapy, your provider will start by getting to know you, your life experiences, and the goals you have for treatment. After your initial appointment, you and your provider will begin working towards your goals, whether that looks like discussing solution focused items in your present life, or processing emotions rooted in your past. The length of treatment and frequency of appointments will vary based on your needs and goals.
